These discussions should take place during the semester immediately prior to the semester in which the student wants to enroll in the problems course. Students may obtain "Master's Independent Study Courses Approval Forms" from the Department Office or on-line from the Fogelman web page. The form requires an explanation of the project purpose, a general outline of how the project is to be accomplished, a tentative reading list, and a description of how the project will be evaluated. This form must be signed by the supervising faculty and the Chair of the department. To obtain a permit for this course, the signed form must be turned in to the secretary of the department.
